In a shocking turn of events, Ethereum validators have announced the formation of a union, demanding better working conditions in the proof-of-stake ecosystem. Dubbed the “Validators’ Alliance for Crypto Equity” (V.A.C.E.), the group is calling for paid coffee breaks, ergonomic chair setups, and a reduction in gas fees for their personal transactions. Their demands were broadcast via a decentralized petition on the Ethereum blockchain, gaining over 10,000 smart contract signatures in less than an hour.

Union leader Nodey McHashface addressed the public in a live-streamed press conference, stating, “We’ve been working tirelessly to secure this network while everyone else enjoys their passive income. Enough is enough.” Industry insiders are divided, with some applauding the bold move, while others worry it could slow Ethereum’s transition to world domination......er, mass adoption.

Vitalik Buterin has yet to comment, but rumors suggest he’s brainstorming a “Validator Wellness Program” featuring NFT-based reward systems and virtual yoga sessions in the metaverse. Critics, however, argue that these measures fail to address the core issues, with one anonymous validator stating, “I don’t need yoga in the metaverse. I need actual coffee and lower gas fees.”

Whether or not their demands will be met, the union’s emergence marks a new chapter in the decentralized world. As one validator cheekily remarked, “Decentralization doesn’t mean we can’t centralize our grievances.”
